Yea!! Setelah berbulan-bulan di Jakarta terusssss... akhirnya-nya-nya-nyaaaa..... nanti malam bakal take off ke Subang! halah take off. :P
Maksutnya mo ikutan Bagus touring motor sama anak-anak IT ke Subang! Gak karu-karuan deh...
And I will do some sketching there!! (semoga sempat)
Berharap menemukan tempat-tempat yang masih seger, back to nature, gak penuh polusi dan gedung-gedung kayak Jakarta.

reuse vintage things

Meski jempol kaki kanan keseleo, hari Minggu kemaren tetep nekat ngubek-ngubek Pasar Atom Passer Baroe. Udah diniatin dari beberapa minggu lalu pengen berburu harta karun barang vintage di situ. Hehehe. Seru! tapi capek, fiuh!
Oiyaaa, lagi seneng sama payet, hari Senin pagi iseng mempercantik sendal jepit cokelat kesayanganku, keluaran Marie Claire - Bata. Karena desainnya simpel dan keliatan udah agak buluk, akhirnya iseng kupasangin sequins warna keemasan. Meski pasang payetnya belum rapi, tapi jadi cantik, maklum percobaan pertama, hehe...
And what I learn is: "Be more positive in minds, because negative minds bring another negative things. Better think positive and many positive things will come to us!"

Refreshment, refreshment, refreshment...
Stuck berbulan-bulan lamanya ga nulis-nulis di Garden & Marine lagi, lama ga buka-buka National Geographic online juga... bosen sama kerjaan, ngerasa stuck jd ilustrator, waaa...
Time to wake up.
Yah, gapapa, intinya make a better living start from myself. Start to think and do everything positively...

fun facts

The burning of fossil fuels is the biggest contributor to greenhouse gases and, therefore, the biggest contributor to global warming.

One tree can absorb the amount of CO2 released by an average car that’s been driven for 4,000 miles (6,437 km).

Scientists have discovered that carbon dioxide and Antarctic temperature have gone hand-in-hand for 650,000 years!

Every two seconds, a forest area the size of a football field is destroyed.

Using a screen saver on the computer (based on an LCD monitor) emits 2.5 lb (1.1 kg) of carbon dioxide.

Turning on the lights (based on three 60-watt bulbs in a ceiling fixture kept on for six hours a day) will generate 1.5 lb (680 kg) of carbon dioxide.

Taking a bath uses up to 3.5 lb (1.6 kg) of carbon dioxide!

Riding in a car to school uses 5 lb (2.3 kg) of CO2 (based on driving to school 2.5 miles (4 km) each way in a car that gets 20 miles (32 km) per gallon).

If the Greenland ice sheet melts completely, it will add enough water to raise sea levels all across the world by 21 feet (6.4 m)!

Mayors in over 400 cities across America have signed the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement to help stop global warming.

A compact fluorescent lightbulb is 75% more energy-efficient than an incandescent bulb.

20% of the world’s electricity comes from waterpower.

To make 14 plastic bags
, you’d need the same amount of petroleum that it would take to drive a car one mile (1.6 km).

how to green your electricity

We all love our electronic devices (for the most part)! There are many ways you can be green with your electronics. The key is to know what tech to get, how to use it best, and what to do with it when its useful life is done.
Here are a few tips:

Go rechargeable

Only a fraction of batteries are recycled. Look for electronics that are rechargeable.

Kill vampire power

To make sure you aren't wasting energy, pull the plug on devices when not in use. There are also a number of "smart" power strips on the market that sense when electronics are turned off

Buy with energy in mind
Doing research on different technologies and their respective energy consumption can save you a lot in the long run. For example, LCD TVs use much less energy than plasmas. The Energy Star site will help you identify energy-saving electronic devices as well.

Make it a short circuit
So, you just bought an iPhone. What should you do with the old phone? Whatever you do, don't just throw it in the trash. There are plenty of organizations and charities that recycle and reuse old electronics.

Bright idea: The solar charger

There are an increasing number of options for on-the-go solar power. From handheld to backpack power, solar chargers now come in a spectrum of types for juicing up phones, PDAs, Bluetooth headsets, iPods, and laptops.

Look for EPEAT
EPEAT (electronic product environmental assessment tool) is a new attempt at environmental certification for computers (CPUs, monitors, and notebooks). Released in early 2006, only a limited number of products have been registered with EPEAT so far, however, look for this certification to pick up steam in the near future.

5 ways to reuse newspaper

Clean your windows.
Don't ask why, but crumpled newspaper makes mirrors and glass shine. Just spray the surface with your favorite glass cleaner and use them as you would regular paper towels. One caveat: Since newspaper isn't terribly absorbent, it's best to use less cleaning spray. You won't need much, anyway.
Substitute shredded or crumpled paper for Styrofoam.
Instead of using non-recyclable, petroleum-based Styrofoam peanuts to pack items for shipping, run sheets of newspaper through a paper shredder to create stuffing material, or just crumple them into loose balls for extra padding.
Store fragile dishware.
When putting away fine china, place folded squares of newspaper between plates and bowls to protect them. Wrap the whole stack in another sheet before placing them in fabric cases or boxes.
Start a barbecue.
Charcoal chimneys (like this one) are inexpensive and make lighting the grill a breeze. But instead of soaking the briquettes in chemical lighter fluid, as many do, try lighting them using newspaper instead. Just crumple a few sheets and stuff them in the bottom section of the chimney, then fill the top portion with charcoal. Light the paper and the briquettes will light themselves.
Make "tablecloths."
Sloppy meals (in my house, boiled lobster makes a legendary mess) and kids' art projects call for casual table coverings. Just spread out a few sheets of the Sunday comics, set your fixings on top, and feel free to leave your manners behind.
